Going back to school means a lot of things, and creating an edible packed lunch is one of them. [insert mega long and collective sigh here]. It's not just the fact you have to make a lunch box while all-bleary eyed because it's 6 o'clock in the morning (unless you're organised and do it the night before, but do these humans really exist? Really?). It is the fact you need to make something both delicious and nutritious, and keep changing your ideas up so that it isn't the same food each week. Kids get bored easily in case you hadn't realised.
So what do you do?
Well, the most effective way to get your kid to chow down on your hard work is to make it creative. Make it look attractive. make them smile the moment they unclip their Peppa Pig or Paw Patrol lunch box because pure joy is staring up at them in the form of culinary awesomeness. And to help you, here are a few ideas mainly revolving around the idea of cute animals work a treat and last night's leftovers can be healthy. Enjoy.
And if that is somehow failing to stir an interest in fine dining sprinkled with brilliance (I'm here to heap praise on you), then you could always put pencil to paper like one dad and show off you artistic abilities on the brown bag housing your kids gorgeous treats. His name is Bryan Dunn and he is my hero.
(warning: these are pure genius and may cause extreme jealousy, enough to see you sign-up to art school just so you can re-take that title of hero)
