Keeping Your Family Healthy Can Be Quite A Challenge, Am I Right?

As the name of this post suggests, keeping your family healthy can be tough. There are so many different elements of health, and while we love our kids, they’re not exactly the happiest when you try to make changes to their life! If you want to improve the health of your family as a whole, you’re going to have to get creative, and that’s what we’re going to be looking at in this post. Keep reading down below if you would like to find out more.

Food!

First, food. Food can be an absolute nightmare with kids if you have a fussy eater. ‘I don’t LIKE that, dad’, ‘I don’t WANT to eat vegetables’, ‘I know I liked it last week but this week it’s gross!’. It can feel like a never ending cycle, and that’s why a lot of parents give up here, but you shouldn’t give up on your little people. You’ve got to try and educate them on healthy, delicious foods so that they grow up eating a balanced diet. It might be worth trying to cut their food into fun little shapes to encourage them to eat it, and then you can reveal what it was they had so that they know for next time. It’s all about being the creative parent here, or even tricking them by chopping up little pieces of vegetables and hiding them in their food.

You can even get a dentist to talk to them like the ones at Wahroonga Dental about how healthy foods help their teeth develop and stay in good condition. They should be checked at the dentist every six months or so, and you can always get advice on good food for

Exercise!

Have you ever tried to get your kids out of bed, off of their technology, or generally to stop what they are doing to get some exercise into their day? It can be scary to say the least, but you can make it fun and this will entice them. For example, instead of asking them if they want to go for a run to get in some good cardio, why not ask them if they want to play tag with you in the garden or at the park? It sounds a lot more appealing, but you are still getting the same level of exercise. It’s a win-win!

Bonding Time!

Last but not least we’re going to be looking at bonding time. Bonding time is the best…when your kids will do it with you without their phones glued to their hands! If you want to work on health, we recommend that you also work on this as it’s important for their mental health as well as yours. Sit down and watch something together one night per week, go out one night per week, play games, just sit and talk. You can do whatever you want, but you need to spend this time together to ensure that you have a healthy, strong bond with your family.

We hope that you have found this article helpful, and now see some of the things that you should be doing (struggling with) to try and keep your family healthy. It’s a challenge, we all know that, but it can be done with perseverance. We wish you the very best of luck with this, and hope that you survive!
